The UDOPIA doctoral program finances new PhD contracts
Launched by the French National Research Agency (ANR), the call for programmes "PhD Contracts in Artificial Intelligence - Organisation" aims to co-fund 200 PhD contracts in AI nationwide.
As one of the 22 projects that have been selected in this call, UDOPIA, the doctoral program in artificial intelligence launched by the Paris-Saclay University, will thus receive €1.8M from the ANR to co-fund the new PhD contracts for 3 years.
The UDOPIA doctoral program in Artificial Intelligence is built on the extensive forces of Paris-Saclay University in AI and related areas to create a unique cohort of PhD students trained at the forefront of core AI topics, specialized AI topics, and applications of AI.
The PhD student will benefit from a rich ecosystem with strong links to industry, and from the existing instruments such as the DataIa convergence institute in AI or the SaclayIA computing platform.
UDOPIA will fund 30 PhD students to work on dissertation on fundamental issues related to AI, machine learning and data science, as well as on their operational applications in engineering, health and the environment, to name a few.
The program is co-funded by the ANR, and by Université Paris-Saclay, components, associates and partners, notably CentraleSupélec, Chair IDAML from CMLA, DATAIA, ENS-Paris-Saclay, INRIA Saclay, Labex Hadamard, UEVE, Vedecom.
