François Terrier
François Terrier is a research director at the CEA and a CEA senior fellow for artificial intelligence. He is a program director at List (CEA's Institute for Intelligent Digital Systems). After a doctorate in artificial intelligence and research in the field of expert systems, he pursued research on software engineering and trusted systems. As head of the software and systems engineering department, he developed these activities in partnership with industrialists. In 2020, he took over the management of the CEA's strategic program on artificial intelligence, with a focus on AI research activities for the responsible development of AI for industry, particularly to address the new critical challenges of frugality, trust, and embedded AI. In this context, he contributed to the establishment of the national research program in artificial intelligence, PEPR IA, and led it for the CEA in collaboration with the CNRS and Inria.
