To foster a more innovative environment, NARLabs serves as a platform for aligning upstream and downstream segments on the R&D continuum, which is a crucial aspect of Taiwan's science and technology transformation process. In this context, NARLabs aims to strengthen its “translation” function and maximize its role in selected projects in various fields with high potential for success. For example, the establishment of platforms for next-generation intelligent electronics and experimental biological materials aims to increase the development potential of Taiwan's information and communication technologies and biotechnology industries. However, the related connection and integration should continue with the formulation of complementary measures and the implementation of performance management to meet the future development needs of the country's innovative R&D programs and economic system.
