Exploring the future of Agentic AI for Earth Observation

Agentic AI represents a new step forward in the evolution of artificial intelligence. Going beyond recent advances in foundation models, it enables autonomous systems capable of reasoning, planning, and collaborating with humans and other AI agents to achieve complex objectives.

In the field of Earth Observation, these capabilities open up new opportunities for acquiring, processing, and exploiting geospatial and satellite data. Agentic AI can optimize data processing pipelines, automate decision-making processes, improve mission planning, and strengthen cooperation between satellites and ground infrastructures, paving the way for more intelligent and adaptive Earth Observation systems.

Jointly organized by BIFOLD, one of Germany's six AI competence centers based at the Technical University of Berlin (TU Berlin), and the European Space Agency (ESA), the workshop will provide a platform for researchers, practitioners, and decision-makers to discuss cutting-edge research, technical challenges, and transformative innovations in agentic AI for Earth Observation.
