Nina Otter

In October 2023, Nina Otter joined the DataShape team at Inria-Saclay as an Inria Starting Faculty member. She is also a member of the Orsay Mathematics Laboratory (LMO) at Paris-Saclay University. From 2021 to 2023, she was a lecturer (assistant professor) in data science mathematics at Queen Mary University of London. Previously, she held a position as assistant professor in CAM at UCLA and was a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences in Leipzig. She obtained a PhD in mathematics from the University of Oxford in June 2018, after completing a master's and bachelor's degree in mathematics at ETH Zurich. Her research focuses on the use of methods from algebra, geometry, and topology for the study of data. Within the executive committee, Nina oversees doctoral student mobility.
