Not eligible

• Normaliens-élèves receiving remuneration due to their status as trainee civil servants
• AgroParisTech students outside the IODAA program
• CentraleSupélec students
• IOGS students
• Students receiving any other funding exceeding €1,500 per month (mobility scholarships, internship allowance, etc.)
• Students undertaking international mobility as part of a gap year
• International students wishing to undertake their internship in their country of origin
• Students who have already received a DataIA international internship scholarship during the same study cycle
• Engineering students undertaking a work-placement internship
• Engineering students or normaliens-étudiants who, as part of a double degree, are enrolled in a Master’s program not accredited by Université Paris-Saclay

Internship start date and minimum duration

- For Bachelor’s students: 3 weeks to 4 months
- For Master’s students: 6 weeks to 6 months

Funding conditions

• Number of scholarships: approximately 20 for the 2026–2027 period
• Monthly amount: €1,000/month (+ €500 travel allowance)
• Combination with other funding: the scholarship may be combined with other sources of funding (Erasmus+, CROUS, internship allowances, etc.), provided that the total amount received per month — including the DataIA scholarship — does not exceed €2,500.

Any change to the internship location will result in the cancellation of the scholarship.

An extension of the internship will not result in an increase in the initial scholarship amount.

If the total duration of the internship is shortened (early return), the student concerned will be required to reimburse any overpayment to the DataIA Institute.

DataIA reserves the right to refuse or terminate the scholarship if the information provided in the application is found to be false.

Selection process

• Program coordinators provide an assessment and ranking of applications from their program.
• The International Relations Officer compiles the assessments and establishes a consolidated ranking based on the quality of the project, academic excellence, previous mobility experience, and destination, with priority given to DataIA partner countries.
• The consolidated ranking is submitted to the DataIA Steering Committee.
• The Steering Committee decides on the final allocation of scholarships.
• Successful and unsuccessful applicants are notified individually.

Application requirements

• A recent detailed CV
• Proof of enrollment for the current academic year
• Academic transcripts from the previous academic year (N-1)
• Academic transcripts for the current academic year (N), or any document providing evidence of the applicant’s current academic level
• A well-argued cover letter including:
  • The internship topic and the choice of host organization or laboratory
  • How the internship aligns with the applicant’s current program and/or future academic or professional plans
  • The expected personal, intercultural and linguistic benefits of the internship
  • The expected professional benefits of the internship, including for further studies or doctoral studies
• The “2025_host_organization_form” must be downloaded and completed by the host organization: Host organisation Form

• Quality of the mobility project
• Academic excellence
• Priority given to students who have never previously undertaken an international mobility

Partnership/geographical criteria

• Planned destination
• Particular attention will be given to stays in the countries listed below, due to existing cooperation in education and research:
  • Europe: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom
  • Outside Europe: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Morocco, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, United States

International internships funded through this call may be featured and promoted by the DataIA Institute.
