FGV EMAp

The FGV EMAp - School of Applied Mathematics - was created in 2011 with the aim of developing contemporary mathematics, adapted to the challenges of the information and knowledge age. Aware of the growing demand on the job market for professionals capable of using increasingly sophisticated mathematical techniques and computer models, EMAp prepares its students to work in strategic sectors of public and private organizations, while qualifying them for academic research and consulting projects. The School of Applied Mathematics offers undergraduate and Master's courses, stimulating research and development projects, as well as internal and external institutional partnerships. Thus, the school's mission is to obtain and transfer scientific and technological knowledge based on mathematics that can be applied, primarily, in fields related to the humanities and social sciences.
