Lucas Tourny is the Executive Director of Institut DataIA Paris-Saclay, the national AI Cluster of Université Paris-Saclay. He previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff to the French Prime Minister and Diplomatic Advisor to the Minister for Higher Education and Research, and has contributed to France’s international scientific cooperation, to the rollout of the France Relance recovery plan, and the France 2030 investment strategy in research, innovation and education. He holds degrees in law, political science and international relations from the University of Lyon III, where he remains engaged in academic mentoring and knowledge transfer.
