The Executive Committee (or board) is responsible for overall project management, and for appraising scientific and strategic actions for submission to the strategic and program committees.

 

The upcoming DataIA Executive Committee meetings, during which the proposals submitted to the calls for projects will be reviewed, will take place on the following dates: December 15, 2025 / January 12, 2026 / February 16, 2026 / March 16, 2026 / April 13, 2026 / May 18, 2026 / June 15, 2026 / July 6, 2026. Project leaders are invited to submit their proposals ahead of these dates to allow sufficient time for evaluation during the corresponding committee meeting.

Cédric Auliac

Cédric Auliac is head of the Artificial Intelligence program at the CEA, after having headed the Data Intelligence unit. A specialist in AI and data science, he has led and supervised numerous R&D projects in collaboration with industrial and institutional stakeholders. He also contributed to the analysis and technological evaluation of the DeepTech start-up at Supernova Invest.

Nadjib Lazaar

Nadjib Lazaar is a University Professor at the University of Paris-Saclay, part of the LaHDAK team of the LISN laboratory. He directs the MIAGE program at Orsay and co-directs the Master's in Data Science (DS) program at the Faculty of Sciences at Orsay. He is also responsible for international relations for the DATAIA Institute and the AI ​​Cluster, where he contributes to the development of international collaborations in artificial intelligence and data science.

Lucas Tourny

Lucas Tourny is the Executive Director of Institut DataIA Paris-Saclay, the national AI Cluster of Université Paris-Saclay. He previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff to the French Prime Minister and Diplomatic Advisor to the Minister for Higher Education and Research, and has contributed to France’s international scientific cooperation, to the rollout of the France Relance recovery plan, and the France 2030 investment strategy in research, innovation and education.

Paul Guillaumot

Paul Guillaumot has a background in mechanical engineering, complemented by solid experience in business strategy and operational optimization. In 2016, he founded SpareParts3D to help manufacturers improve the management of their spare parts. He is now dedicated to developing a decentralized production model based on additive manufacturing technologies. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, he inherited a strong interest in innovation, a tolerance for uncertainty, and unwavering commitment.

Nathalie Lassau

Professor Nathalie Lassau, Knight of the Legion of Honor (2025) and of the Academic Palms (2023), is a university professor and hospital practitioner in radiology at Paris-Saclay University and co-director of the Biomaps UMR1281 CEA INSERM CNRS laboratory. A specialist in cancer centers, she led the INCa STIC DCE-US multicenter study, validating a predictive biomarker in contrast-enhanced ultrasound integrated into international guidelines.

Josselin Kherroubi

Josselin Kherroubi is an expert in algorithm development, applied mathematics, and physics. He designs advanced solutions for complex data analysis. His recent work includes image analysis for geology and electromagnetic data processing in petrophysics. Key skills: applied mathematics, algorithms, signal and image processing, Matlab, C++.

Within the executive committee, Josselin is involved in partnership projects with one or more manufacturers.

Fabrice Le Guel

Fabrice Le Guel is an economist, HDR lecturer at Université Paris Saclay, and member of the IREN (Industries de Réseau et Économie Numérique) Master 2 board. His research interests include digital economics, innovation economics, network economics and privacy economics.

Within the executive committee, Fabrice is responsible for projects involving the initiation of collaborations/exploratory projects. He is also consulted on matters relating to the humanities and social sciences (HSS).

Agnès Desolneux

Agnès Desolneux's work focuses on the analysis of stochastic models, mainly random fields, and their applications to various image processing problems. Her research applies in particular to medical imaging, texture analysis and synthesis, image restoration, and visual perception. Within the executive committee, Agnès oversees calls for guest lecturers.

Nina Otter

In October 2023, Nina Otter joined the DataShape team at Inria-Saclay as an Inria Starting Faculty member. She is also a member of the Orsay Mathematics Laboratory (LMO) at Paris-Saclay University. From 2021 to 2023, she was a lecturer (assistant professor) in data science mathematics at Queen Mary University of London. Previously, she held a position as assistant professor in CAM at UCLA and was a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences in Leipzig.

Demian Wassermann

Demian Wassermann is currently Research Director in the MIND team at INRIA Saclay Île-de-France. His work focuses on the development of AI models of brain anatomy, using diffusion MRI, and their clinical applications. He is also interested in image registration and machine learning. Since September 2024, Demian Wassermann has been named Scientific Director of the DATAIA Institute.
