Paris-Saclay University is the first French university in the world's top 20

For the sixth consecutive year since its creation in 2020, Paris-Saclay University has been ranked in the top 20 of the ARWU rankings. This international recognition of research quality is the result of the ongoing work and efforts of scientists and support staff working in its 220 laboratories and, more broadly, across its entire community.

While the Shanghai ranking is based primarily on criteria related to the quality and reputation of research, as well as the innovation that results from it, Paris-Saclay University also plays a key role in educating the citizens of today and tomorrow, whether through initial or lifelong learning. Its broad disciplinary spectrum enables it to fully pursue its three missions: research, education, and innovation, thereby affirming its role as a social actor in its own right. The international recognition provided by ARWU is a guarantee of quality not only for the laboratories under the university's supervision or co-supervision, but also and above all for its students and graduates, who can thus benefit from the national and international reputation attached to their institution and their degree.
