The AI Guild Summit 2026, organized by the ESSEC Metalab, brings together researchers, industry experts, and practitioners to discuss current developments and applications of artificial intelligence. The event will feature presentations on AI governance, large language models, human–AI interactions, and generative AI, followed by a networking cocktail reception.

The ESSEC Metalab invites all faculty members to attend its second 2026 AI Guild Summit.

Program:

14:00 - Introduction

  • Paul Oudin: Rethinking the Governance of AI Companies
  • Luciano Somoza: LLMs for research in Finance
  • Ghalia Shamayleh: Affective Technologically-Mediated Interactions
  • Sara Rabhi (Senior data scientist at NVIDIA) on applications of gen AI to biology - online talk
  • Florian Barral (co-founder of Evalmee) on the use agentic systems with Evalmee

Florian Barral is co-founder and CEO of Evalmee, an online assessment and proctoring platform used by 45,000+ students each year across leading French institutions. In parallel, he teaches Business Data Science at ESSEC Business School (where he graduated, MSc DSBA 2017-18) and works as an independent AI consultant. Before founding Evalmee, he worked at Capgemini Invent and Amazon.
