DataIA is the Artificial Intelligence Institute of Université Paris-Saclay.
Body

Selected in 2017 as part of the “Instituts Convergences” call for projects launched by the French National Research Agency (ANR), the DataIA Institute brought together artificial intelligence (AI) expertise from across the Paris-Saclay ecosystem to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration in data science and AI. Since January 2021, the Institute has focused its activities on Université Paris-Saclay’s centre of excellence, driving the University’s artificial intelligence strategy in research and education.

France’s leading artificial intelligence ecosystem, DataIA brings together 800 researchers and faculty members from 47 laboratories (15% of whom are international) and builds on 3 Graduate Schools – Computer Science (ISN), Mathematics and Engineering and Systems Sciences (SIS) – to foster multidisciplinary research, including the humanities and social sciences.

In May 2024, the DataIA Institute was officially awarded the “IA-Cluster” label by the French Government.
